We consider our factory on Newman Street to be the fulcrum of everything we do. It reminds us of our history, houses our current operations and inspires our creative design process. The majestic Victorian building is nestled away down a quiet terraced street in the market town of Kettering, the place we call home.
Influenced by Italianate architecture, it is considered to be one of the most stylish factories in Northamptonshire (although we may be slightly biased). The factory was built in 1873 and has a long history of producing high quality footwear since the original occupants, Newman & Sons. It is one of the few surviving factories to still produce footwear and thus retains much of the traditional interior.
But style is nothing without substance. Whilst many of the conventional craft techniques remain, our state-of-the-art machinery has a contemporary edge which has been fostered in our work with the NHS. We are determined to continue the fine work that has been carried out on this site since 1873 and we would be delighted to show you around.
